Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of work-life balance and work environment on job satisfaction of employees at the Employee Cooperative of the Central Office of the Directorate General of Treasury, Ministry of Finance. The research methodology employs a quantitative approach with an associative research design. The sample comprises 33 employees using a saturated sampling technique (census). Data collection was conducted through questionnaire distribution measured using a five-point Likert scale. Data analysis was performed using multiple linear regression analysis assisted by IBM SPSS Statistics 25 software. The findings indicate that: work-life balance has a positive and significant influence on job satisfaction with a significance value of 0.000, work environment has a positive and significant influence on job satisfaction with a significance value of 0.000, and work-life balance and work environment together have a positive and significant influence on job satisfaction with a significance value of 0.000. The results of the multiple linear regression analysis yielded the equation Y = -5.843 + 0.644X1 + 0.479X2, indicating that work-life balance and the work environment enhance employee job satisfaction. The coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.916 indicates a very strong relationship between the independent variables and the dependent variable. Meanwhile, the adjusted R² of 0.828 indicates that work-life balance and work environment account for 82.8% of the variation in job satisfaction, while the remaining 17.2% is influenced by other factors outside the scope of this study. This study concludes that work-life balance, work environment, and job satisfaction have a significant influence on job satisfaction, both partially and simultaneously. Therefore, organizations need to pay attention to employees’ work-life balance and create a conducive work environment to enhance employee job satisfaction.
